Using Upwardo means you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.

1. What Upwardo is

Upwardo is envelope budgeting on your phone: you give every dollar a job, book an entry from a receipt or your voice, and see where the month stands. It never connects to a bank, holds no investments, promises no return and quotes no savings figure. It has no account; your devices pair with each other through an encrypted relay.

2. Who sells what

  • WaveApp LLC makes Upwardo, runs the sync relay and licenses the app to you.
  • The Apple App Store or Google Play sells Plus and is the merchant for that payment. Payment, tax, renewal and refunds follow the store's rules; see the refund page.

3. Your licence

You may install and use Upwardo on devices you control, for your own budgeting. You must not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app, with our relay, with store billing or with anyone else's device, and you must not use it to break the law. You must not present Upwardo as a bank connection, an investment adviser or a returns-promising tool. You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live.

4. Your content

  • Your envelopes, entries, budgets and notes stay yours. We claim no rights in them, and we cannot read them in sync.
  • Your ledger never leaves your devices in readable form; see the privacy page for the draft text and review totals that do.
  • Everything you already entered stays readable and exportable when a paid plan ends. Export is free, always.

5. Paying

  • Free covers one device, the full budgeting feature set, lossless CSV export and restore, and 20 AI drafts per month for your sync group.
  • Plus adds sync across your devices, the monthly review and 1,000 AI drafts per month. It costs $59.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan, or $7.99 per month with no trial, or $169.00 once for lifetime, which includes every 1.x release. There is no weekly plan.
  • The trial runs once per installation. When a paid plan ends you get a 3-day grace period with sync paused, then Free with all your data.
  • The price on the store's checkout screen, in your currency, is the one that counts.
  • A subscription renews under the store's rules until you cancel it there. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or billing period ends to avoid the next charge. Restore purchase runs off the store receipt.

6. Drafts, reviews and rates

An AI draft is a suggestion; nothing enters your ledger until you confirm it, and you are responsible for what you confirm. The monthly review and the exchange rates are tools, not financial, tax or investment advice. Exchange rates are manual or monthly and static, never real-time.

7. Changes and availability

We will change features and prices only across releases, never inside one. We do not promise that the app or the relay is free of defects or always available; we do promise that an update never removes content you created. Capability given away on Free is never moved behind the paywall later.

8. Ending

You can stop using Upwardo at any time, export your data and run "Delete everything", which wipes your phone and the relay's copy. A purchase you already made stays with the store under its rules. If recovery of a lost device fails because no platform backup was available, we say so plainly; we hold no readable copy to restore.

9. Warranty

Upwardo is provided as is. Drafts, totals and rates can be wrong; check them before relying on them. Upwardo is not a medical, legal, financial or professional advice tool. Where the law gives you a warranty we cannot exclude, that warranty stands.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, WaveApp LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost data or financial outcomes. Our total liability for anything connected to Upwardo is limited to what you paid for Plus in the 12 months before the claim, as recorded by the store. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit.

11. Law and disputes

These terms follow the law of the State of Wyoming, United States. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections and courts of the place where you live still apply. Write to support@upwardo.app first; most problems are settled by email.

12. Changes to these terms

We will tell you about a material change in the app's update notes before it takes effect. If one clause cannot be enforced, the rest stand.
